Make sure you surrender your licence Phil and don't wait until they take it off you. Otherwise when you want it back the DVLA will drag their feet as
long as possible before returning it.  Also when applying for it back do it as soon as possible as it will not be exactly quick.  and keep asking your
consultant if you can have it back. They seem to lose fact of how important such things can be to people. Now you are in the system it will all
  happen very quick.
Good luck with the treatment and let the adventure begin.  ;)

Thats interesting, I was wondering what year the CD175 production ended.

   1979

Padgetts still have a brand new one in the window, last time I was down there.

I've stood pressing the car remote waiting for the house door to unlock.

Keep soaking them in petrol and scrape off as they soften. A pain in the arse of a job.

Well done with sticking with it Roy, that one would have been easy to abandon in the early days.

I

Before I post the link  I did offer £500 and  could have had it for £700  but I would have only squirreled iit away. Hopefully it will go on a bike that
needs it and not just be  put aside.

Makes sense. Still would love to see the VIN stamp on the frame and someone must of spent a lot of time getting the black paint off that engine . I understand that the GE stands for General Export  ;)

You would think so but according to CSMNL  General Export are CB750E
As for the frame UK bikes didn't get the VIN plate did they and were stamped where that plate is. My USA is stamped on the other side. The V5 shows date of first reg UK as 76.  All a bit strange
