I've read all sorts of stuff about whether the caps or leads should be resistor type, and if so whether it should be cap or the lead (which all goes over my head a bit :-\ ).
If it makes any difference, what do I need for a '79 CB650 (which has electronic ign, not points ,if that also makes a difference).
Sorry, electrical stuff is not my game...

I have electronic ignition and use resistor caps 5k?, I don
-
They also act as a suppressor to reduce interference on radios etc.

There is lots of b****x talked about resistor leads and caps.
They are purely to suppress electric interference and as good citizens we should use the 5k plug caps.
Resistor wire is a bit OTT - use whatever you can get. Unless you are running fancy competition ignition and top end, it won't make a "hapath" of difference.
How do you spell ha'pth? (half penny worth) ?

That's right Steve.
A good quality copper cored lead with an NKG 5k resistor plug cap will do the job admirably!
