Honda-SOHC

I'm now at the stage of filling up my engine with oil so decided to do a little research about what the best oil is to use, as far as it goes I know nothing about oil types and properties and usually use the manufacturer's recommendation which my research tells me is 3.5 litres of 10w 40 mineral oil, but I have seen elsewhere and also on this forum 15w 40 diesel oil from Tesco (Carlube) being recommended, can anyone shed any light on this ? I have read this article but past experience tells me other people's experience will give me a better idea.

As I mentioned in another thread before my previous account was mysteriously deleted, I have used R&S twice and I am very pleased with the results, the RD exhausts were done 2 years ago and are still like new and the 400F bits in the bottom picture came out well, the only little moan I have is they took 10 weeks when I was told 3 to 4 weeks.

Mine didn't have any in and still don't have any as I didn't know about them, to be honest I don't much fancy stripping them down to put them in but I did a bit of searching and on another forum the general consensus is a lot of people don't bother with them after a carb rebuild, I'm not sure what to do now. Do you know the size of them ? There are quite a lot of felt washers on ebay of varying sizes that may do the job, similar to these, also being a drummer I have quite a few felt cymbal washers lying around I could possibly modify.
