You apply, change your tax class to historic on your v5, fill in tax renewal form (v50)? Send with a print of insurance cert and your mot.

Well within tolerance, MOT is +- 1.5mm if my memory serves me correctly.

Just checked with DVLA website, mine is now taxed for £00.00 although I don't have my V5 back yet (from 1st April)

Looks like the kickstart is knackered.

James I'm not sure if this is the original engine although there is no evidence to suggest otherwise and I have a big history file with it. (there again a lot can happen in 40 years) Either way it's another 750 back on the road. Happy days, if only I could ride it!!!!!

Rideable (apart from me recovering from total knee replacement). Just a few bits to sort need correct l/h fork ear, could be burning a bit of oil on number 4 which may be better after a decent ride, Exhaust clamps are knackered (been drilled right through by a blind man)!! Need the plastic document lid for under seat. Need the rubber gizmos for top of carbs. Not sure about jetting yet, put 105's in which as far as I can find out is corrct for a UK 1974 K2 Frame and engine numbers are a long way apart so could be a different engine (or maybe not after reading some info about UK K2's on the site)

Nice - so you found a UK K2 in the end..good work.
Dunno but it can't do any harm and I thought whilst they're brand spanking it would be worth it. Removed the diffusers squirted some in there and in the little drain holes underneath now I just keep rotating them every day or so. Probably completely OTT but in my head it's doing good

Yes James thanks, a 74 UK K2 it needs a fair few bits yet but having a new knee fitted in a couple of weeks so no rush to ride it. I'll post pics when its somwhere near.

Christmas pressy to myself, they seem to have a coating already on the inside but I'm squirting a load of ACF50 in there as well. Just waiting for a load of stuff from DSS to complete the job. New seat from Leightons fitted

Nice bike ,i recon that after seeing franks auctions quite a few more sandcasts and 69 k0's will be coming up for sale, flooding the market and reducing the prices down to a more sensible level, i wonder if frank buys this one, and adds 10k to it, pete
May well do, it's the same owner as the £15K gold diecast he had.
