Nothing suitable on there, but thanks!

Does the K3 share the same stud pattern as any other bikes?

CB500/550 / fuel taps
« on: December 11, 2015, 12:03:43 AM »
Hi all,

I purchased a fuel tap for my 550k3 and the one that arrived is considerably smaller that the one I removed from my tank.

Am I missing something somewhere? The gentleman I purchased it from Said he's only ever known them to be one size.

Hello guys, I just want to confirm that on a '77 cb550 the top throttle is classed as the A and bottom is the B?

Just having some confusion on eBay as to what I require.

Thanks in advance.

Hoping some electrical guru can answer my question.

I have an LED tail light/brake light fitted to the bike, problem is my tail light is equally as bright as my brake light, therefore my break light technically looks like its always on.

Can i just put an inline load resistor on the tail light power supply to reduce the voltage & brightness? If so what resistor would be recommend.

Thanks

CB500/550 / ht lead order
« on: June 29, 2015, 09:02:24 PM »
Quick question for an easy answer I hope...

Firing order is 1-2-4-3 as sat on the bike?

What it ht lead goes where? My coils are after market and have fairly equal length leads. So as sat on the bike,  from the left, what lead goes to what cylinder.

Thanks

Ok, im using the 550 hub and 17" x 4.25 rim from a Triumph.

How do i go about measuring to deciding what length spokes i need? Nothing i have read on the internet seems to make sense to me.

Fantastic, I can see clearly where it goes and locates now! Good man!

Ken, yes your right, I made them that far apart purely so you could see when I took the photos, when the butterfly is in place you can't adjust the position of the of the rods without splitting the carbs back down.

Thanks for help and photos!

Ken, i believe they are assembled the same as the photos Matt has supplied (thanks Matt)

And as for the spring, i'm not sure if i'm being totally blind but i can't see it for the life of me, I see the main spring situated on the left hand side of the throttle mechanism, but not the spring i have, the ID of the spring is about 17mm i would say.
