Free if anyone wants them, just cost of postage.
Ropey old crash bars off my 550, black paint over rusty chrome. Bolts turn freely.
Could possibly be re chromed or just painted.
I can take them to Kempton Autojumble on Saturday if anyone wants to collect from there.

Can someone clarify if this is correct, it seems the only way I can get it to fit nicely.
Out of throttle, around the front of the right hand fork, under clock bracket, around headstock and on the inside of left hand fork. Down the left side of the frame tube and under to the carb linkage on the right.

Is it a spring and tiny ball bearing that holds the choke lever in the fully open position?
Looking at mine, I have the tiny spring but it looks like there should be a ball bearing or something to keep it locked open.

Does anyone know the length of the upper brake hose for a 550 with UK bars please?

Got my engine cleaned and ready to paint. Just one question, do you paint the bolt heads or mask them up?

My UK 550 bars are pretty corroded so I’m going to replace. Just wondering, are the 400 bars are the same except for the rise?
I fancy something a tiny bit lower.

Anyone got a decent pic I can show my painter of a Flake Sunrise Orange tank with the correct decals. I’ve seen 1 gold, 1 white stripe Another with 1 gold, 2 white stripes 1 thick, one thin Another with no gold and 1 white. Another with no gold and 2 white.
Wondering which one is correct, the painter doesn’t want to fit decals, wants to paint them in.

My US spec 550 has the wiring from the controls on the outside of the handlebars. I had a set of old UK bars given to me which did not have the holes to route the cables through the bars.
Im about to order a new set of bars as mine are pretty rusty, but wondered what is correct for a 1974 K0 inside or out?

Anyone know what the small hole is for on the back of headlight bucket circled in red?
There was nothing going through it when I stripped it down. Only thing I can think it’s for the idiot light cable?

Just getting my bits ready to go to the platers. Are the brake pedal, kickstart and gear selector chromed? It looks way duller than chrome.

Any recommendations for a chrome plater, preferably in the south.
My 550 K0 headlight brackets need doing, so far I’ve been quoted at one place £80 for the pair and £90 each at another place.

I want to paint the housing, just wondering if anyone has removed one.
I assume it’s stuck down and maybe a bit of heat will enable me to remove it and then put it back after.

Need just the front part of a 550 brake caliper housing if anyone has one. Don’t need the internals just the main housing the piston fits in.
Thanks.

Has anyone used the 2K rattle cans where you press the valve in the bottom to add the activator?
Was thinking about using them on my 550 frame.

My chrome points cover on my 550 is a bit rusty and new ones seem to have increased in price a fair bit.
Thought I’d see if my CB650 one fits which is cast aluminium and it fits perfectly.
Not for the purists but looks pretty good.
