3 bad reviews and one good one. Strangely the bads are all from the USA, one bought for a 750K6 and nowhere does it claim to be suitable for that model, the 750 uses a different caliper.

The worst one claims the piston is a one piece affair as standard, it isn't, it's hollow but has a cap fitted, ok the o-ring is split, not good, but for the price I think they are fine. Saying that I've bought one but not fitted it yet, I must inspect it to make sure none of the things they are reporting are on mine. As for the thread being wrong for the solid pipe, fitted a CB400 and that has the same solid pipe as the 500/550 so maybe it's his pipe that's wrong, maybe another 750 owner.

I can't find a single UK review be it good or bad - if it looks too good to be true...................

Be interesting to see an honest review from a sohc member who has fitted one.

Yeah, reviews are not great, but for that price I might take a chance. Its amazon so returns/refunds shouldn't be a problem.

Just dug mine out, the piston is hollow, no cap fitted, not a problem for me as I'm fitting stainless steel pistons anyway. The bolt holes are good. The seal was fine, in fact I must have fitted it with the piston as it's inside the caliper, will need to blow that out so I can replace the piston. The pipe thread looks fine on mine, tested it on a brand new solid pipe, genuine Honda and it fitted just fine. The only thing I couldn't do was tighten it down fully as I didn't have a spanner handy but it threaded down enough that there was very little play left in the pipe.

Cheers Ken, good to know.  Lots of brake pistons are not capped and I have a decent spare anyway
