I feel a bit embarrassed to say I have had both injections as I have been doing voluntary work at the local hospital. The second jab was the issue for me. I was feverish overnight and felt rough for 24 hours. I’ve been told that this is good as it’s shows the body has made antibodies from the first. Something to look forward to.

I had that expression on my face the first time I tasted Jim Beam, prefer a Speyside malt. Good bit of art though.

Big vote for an extendable magnetic probe, unless it’s a stainless steel washer that has gone into a black hole!

Top guy, have visited him for advice and to pick up oil filters. Highly recommend and a good excuse to ride out.

Absolutely brilliant advice. Any chance that we could have a “How to folder” in the forum and any advice that passes the peer review can be moved into said folder. This will help those of us that never did an honest apprenticeship need some good advice in a ready access folder. No advice on beer drinking required, cheers.

While I was working on the engine I had the exhaust stored under the work bench. Two bolts vanished and could not be found. When it came to fitting the exhaust I found the two bolts and a heap of peanuts stolen from the bird food bin and stored in the exhaust. 10 min of vigorous shaking removed all foreign objects!

A light deglaze with one of those glaze busters or a very light touch with a 600 grit honing tool should suffice. Seeing as the engine is split have you had the bores measured to check their in spec and don’t need a rebore and oversize piston? Hope I’m not creating more expense,
Cheers, Greg

I thought a T140 that wasn’t leaking had no oil in it?

As I understand the process the ampage is the critical factor that drives the plating process, hence the 100 mAmps per square inch. The power box I borrowed allowed me to set ampage and the box adjusted the voltage, I often had nearly 0.5V showing so a measurement of the amp draw is essential.
