Still waiting for temp gun but this is how hot it gets...
Rocker cover, head fins, points cover, stator cover all are untouchable! I mean even if I was to touch them for a fraction of a second I would leave my skin on them! This is after a 20 minute run light to moderate traffic uk!
Checked my cam and it may have been one tooth out, this has been adjusted l, valve clearances re done, static timing bang on, 40 idle 115 mains needle on 3rd notch!
If you are going to use a thermal imaging camera make sure you have the emissivity set correctly or the readings will be way out.

Roy,
Both the ones I have done did not have them on the exhaust and both gasket sets only had four in them.

Very nice to see the engine/carburettor detail with the tank off, a credit to the engine builder. Not sure about the loom 'sorted'?
Why would you miss the black caps off the air screws when you have gone to that much trouble

Found this on the SOHC/4 owners club.
CARB O-RING SIZES: CB350, CB400, CB500, CB550
When rebuilding carbs on the old Honda fours with press-in main jets, you will often find that all the metal parts are fine after a good cleaning, and all that you really need to buy are new O-rings. Honda doesn’t sell the individual O-rings separately….
instead you have to buy a complete carb kit at $10 to $15 per carb. I found an industrial O-ring supplier who was willing to do small-volume counter sales, and was able to get new O-rings at about 50 cents per carb. Sizes are:
Main Jet: 1.2mm cross-section x 3.5 mm ID
Float Seat: 1.5 mm cross-section x 5 mm ID
Float Bowl Drain Screw: AS568-009 (7/32″ ID x 11/32″ OD)

Just going to check out what shipping would be first though.
Thanks again
Alan
If you are bringing that lot in from the states you are going to be clobbered with the import duty as well and that includes the postage costs.

Get some heavy duty Velcro. Cut it to the valve size and size of the rubber. You have to keep replacing it but it's better than trying to use the useless rubbers which never stick to the valve.
