Been looking at a Yamaha RD250 and it is a European import. Just looking for a bit of advice, what's the restored value like compared to a full UK specification. No paperwork so what’s it like to get it registered, NOVA and dating certificate. Thanks for any help.

I also had a great tip which improved mine. On the metal plates they have a rounded side on the outer edge and a sharp side where they have been stamped out. ALLWAYS make sure they are the same way around on all the plates, I do mine inwards but was told it doesn't make that mush difference if they are in or out.

Can someone p[lease tell me if both throttle cables route between the forks or outside of the Right hand fork? My push (return) return cable seems to be too short to go between, and consequently the bend to the grip is so tight that it has kinked.
Ash, Mine go down in front of the lamp holder ear at the back of the head light bowl. Hope you can see from the picture.

Joe,
Mine definitely sounds different to the standard one (louder pop) difficult to describe it really. It has also created a small flat spot around 3k. Can't elaborate any further due to the bike being stored since Aug last year. The silencer was purchased just before that if it helps I will find the receipt from silvers.

I bought the DSS one and not impressed. as it was a replica I thought it would be the same but it is louder and I didnt want that. I bought it so I could store the original as it is mint. Wish I had gone with the Motad replica one now (stainless too)

They set me for a rubber hammer but fortunately I knew they had one in the tool room so it sort of backfired on them.
