Thanks, I will check the float levels again. The carbs were thoroughly cleaned before installing them.

Now I thought I was a patciant man until now. On the headlamp brackets there are two rubbers one at the top and one at the bottom, bottom one no problem. Top is a different matter, it must go between the fork stantion and the bracket to stop it rattling and seal it. How the hell do you get it in as I have given up, or am I wrong and it fits differently ?

Hi thanks for the reply's, the reason for the TT100 replicas is to keep the classic look. I put these on my 400 4 and was happy with them. What I don't want to do is put a modern looking tire on, I know they are better performing but I don't go screaming around. So any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
Started looking for tires for the 550, I would have liked the TT100 replica K81/82 but can't seem to locate them in the quoted size for the bike 325x19 front 375x18 rear. Does anyone know if they are available or any other sizes that will fit on the standard rims without catching on anything. Are Dunlop Red Arrows still available.

I have found the culprit. In the headlamp bucket there is a brown/blue wire this is connected to the black 12v supply. This needs disconnecting and connecting to the feed from the switch. Thanks for your help everyone.

It seems as though I have acquired a US spec wiring loom (**** EbaY) The US one has running lights ON as soon as the ignition is turned on, front running light, rear light and all clock lights are ON. Can this be changed to the UK spec !!! Going to try and find a US wiring diagram and compare them. Any help appreciated.

The ignition switch has a steering lock on it as well. I think I am going to try the switch from my 400 4 and see if the problem still persists.
