Major improvement. Not an enjoyable job! Shorter top brake hose on order, new throttle cables, need to order a clutch cable yet, 750 clutch cable on it at the moment.🤭
-
If it helps I had to fit a replacement clutch cable on my 500 as the existing one was a tad too long. My clutch cable operates on the left side of my engine.
I fitted a Wemoto unit around £12.00 it was 40.5" long iiirc theadjuster (1.02 m).

Looking much better Johhny and that is what I call a very well organised workshop. I bet you even have a kettle in there with a biscuit jar :).
If I ever build another garage I will ensure it has a sink, a water tap and a toilet, nothing worse than having to keep walking up the garden for a cuppa or to use the loo especially when its pouring with rain and dark :(

I have a sink with only a cold tap plus kettle in my garage - no loo but easy enough to improvise for a pee during inclement weather. Waste is subtly connected to the sewer drain via a soak away overflow connection to a distant manhole.

I have a Jacuzzi in mine that doubles as an ultrasone cleaner. My bike and I often bath together. Bonding!

That paints a great mental picture a new meaning to "Naked Attraction" - bike style. ;D ;D ;D

Think I’m needing to have a clear out of the paint and oil shelves there! Might have room then to set something up without it teetering on the edge!🤣
I don’t have a kettle or biscuit jar though in the garage probably because our kitchen is just above, I can almost hear the kettle going on!😂 But regular stops are frequently required.

The bike looks much, much better with the new bars. I'm impressed with your workshop. I always envisage mine looking like that, but never get anywhere near it! 🤔

Thanks Gareth, I never leave the garage at the end of a day without everything being returned o where I know I can find it the next day.😜

Bars look much better Johnny. That’s some collection of well organised tools. Saw an interesting idea in classic mechanics mag this month - a one foot by 1 inch magnetic strip handily placed for dropping on bolts / tools etc while working. Saves scrabbling for bolts on the floor when you container gets knocked over..DAMHIK😉

Magnetic tray. Best invention ever. 👍

I ordered a set of 3 magnetic trays from Toolstation a couple of years ago. I don’t think they realised they were magnetic and I got 6.

Good idea except if you use SS nuts & bolts.

They are fantastic Gareth, although I have a confession to make. I am yet to remember when carrying out any bike work that I actually purchased ones a couple of year ago! 🤭🤭😂
