A lot of smaller Honda's went for really serious money at Mecum. Bet DS doesn't come back with any of those.

Wow at the price, but a seriously good looking bike, looking absolutely mint. You can see why buyers would go for that over the 'odd' looking Bomber. Old eagle eyes here thinks that's a later generator cover though, it's the same as the one on my CL, and that's wrong too. The originals got buggered up by the gear lever when you fell off, and are like hen's teeth in good condition.

I got distracted on the auction site of course, and ended up on the page of the Steve McQueen 'Bullitt' car (a snip at $3.74 million) which I have seen in the flesh, I think, at the Goodwood Revival a couple of years ago, when they put together a display of his vehicles, including the Triumph from the Great Escape.
