OK Mike Thankyou, looking at DS, they're £25 and out of stock so maybe I'll leave it out.

Thanks

Testing with a bulb and a battery, the bulb lights both ways, all the diodes I have read the same. Does that mean they're all duff ?

Found it.. I have a couple of spares too. When the meter is switched to Diode test mode its also continuity ?
It beeps for continuity in both directions on all the diodes I have ?

I'm confused  :)

Well maybe I have a problem elsewhere. The neutral light works fine, on in neutral, off in gear. When I connect the switch the neutral light is on permanently, whether its in gear or not.

CB350/400 / Clutch Switch wiring

Can anyone help me with Clutch switch wiring please ? The old knackered switch has two wires Green and Green/Red which I assume connect to the same colour wires in the headlamp. The new aftermarket  switch has Black and Green/Yellow, can anyone tell me what goes to what in the headlamp please?

Thanks
regards

CB350/400 / Chrome clip on wiring harness ?
« on: February 20, 2017, 10:12:31 AM »
Hi Chaps,
I'm having a few problems finishing the wiring around the headlamp on 400/4. Despite trawling the net I've been unable to find a good picture of the area around the front stop switch. I'm trying to work out the orientation of the chrome clip that holds the wiring harness, and if fact which part of the harness its meant to support, would anyone have a couple of pictures of that area please ? I think the clip bolts to the same bracket as the stop switch ?

Many thanks
Steve

The pump is not usually the problem, the ABS unit (brain) is unreliable and only a handful of people have the equipment to test/repair the unit, obviously new ones are unavailable so there's a limited supply of good used units. The brakes are fine without the ABS so generally when the unit goes, owners just ignore the ABS warnings and ride without ABS.

The bike went last week and I've bought a BMW F800ST as a replacement so I'm clearing out everything, they're on fleabay at the moment. If they don't sell together I'll probably ditch some parts and keep the rest

I've just sold my K100RS 16V which is the flat four version, a great bike, bullet proof engine, well built and will go forever with good maintenance.
The only downside for me was that the ABS is temperamental and its very heavy but once on the move its solid as a rock. I still have some spares if anyone is interested. They have a loyal following too, especially abroad.

Good luck with it

SEP in Kegworth is not too far away from you, they're easy to deal with and OK with bike stuff, I can recommend them

Cheers
