Six months have passed since my neck surgery and I've healed nicely. Has been a slow process, but it has gone according to plan. Sadly the bikes hasn't turned a wheel this summer, didn't want to take any chances before the vertebraes were fully healed.

AshimotoK0 kindly sold me a front hub for my new project, so now I'm looking for a complete rear hub with brakeplate and sprocket carrier.

If you've got one laying around that you'd consider parting ways with, don't hesitate to give me a shout :-)

Speedy recovery !!!

I bought some spare 750 SOHC front hubs in a deal with someone a few years back. Unfortunately, the 750K0 front hub is different for all other years (up to K7 which different).  The one I got were K1-> K6 ..... I sold one to a member on here for what it 'cost' me 20 GBP If you are interested I still have another one. Really nice condition and bead blasted.

Thanks, I'm actually doing quite well by now :-)
I'm back working halftime, 4 hours a day, and that works just fine. I'm a computer tech for the county council, so there's no lifting or other strenuous tasks. I'm being very careful with my posture, trying to balance my head in a neutral position all the time in order to let the muscles in the neck relax as much as possible.

The hubs I'm looking for should be for a K2, but as far as I know any hub from K0 to K6 would do fine. K7 and K8 too, believe it's only the sprocket carrier that differs? And the 17" rim, but as stated earlier I've already got rims and spokes.

Thanks for all the kind words!

Been a while since my last login, been really busy with all kinds of stuff. Both pleasant and unpleasant...

The latter is represented by an accident 9 weeks ago. Took a bad fall and fractured the seventh cervical vertebrae, tore the anterior ligaments and crushed the disc between C6 and C7.
Resulted in neck surgery with anterior fusion of C6 and C7.
Seems to be healing up nicely, but will need another month umtil the fracture is healed completely. After that is a matter of getting the muscles in the neck back in shape.

All in all I've been quite lucky. No neurology, no weakness, no numbness. Will probably have some small limitation in my range of motion, but as it is located in the lowest part of the neck it will probably be hardly noticable :-)

But the Honda will have to be parked this summer until I've gotten the strenght in my neck back again...

Anyway, I've got a new project that unfortunatly is missing its wheels.

I've got a set of rims but I need to find both a CB750 front hub as well as a CB750 rear hub complete with drum brake plate and sprocket carrier.

Anyone having a front and rear hub laying around that you want to sell?

Well, I wish it was mine but it isnt.
The rolling road is at turbospecialists McXpress - and the guy in the photo is the companys owner/founder Erik Marklund.
The nicest guy, builds and sells 400 bhp Hayabusas and snowmobiles all over the world - still takes time to put my old stuff on the dyno just for fun :-)

Can´t imagine ever selling it  :)

Just hoping that more time will come that I can spend riding and wrencing on it....

As you perhaps remember from .net I had plans to get the head ported back in 2007. Sadly the fellow (P.A. Pettersson) that would do the work passed away suddenly and it all came to a stop. Not easy find reputable guys that has experience of porting an old 750 head anymore. Talked to Mike Rieck but at the time I felt that the cost of sending the head to the US and back again plus the cost of the work would be too much... And the risk of getting the head damaged or lost in transport also put me off :-\

Is there anyone in the UK that you know of and can recommend for doing work on a CB750-head?

Hi all,

My name is Daniel Melander, I live in Piteå way up in the north of Sweden.
Bought a 1975 CB750 K2 as my first bike back i 1994 (by god, just realized twenty years has passed since...) and I´m still hanging on to it.



Ran it as I bought it the summer of 1995 and then it ended up in the shed as other bikes came and passed. Mainly sportstourers like GSX1100f and sportsbikes like Fireblade, TRX850 etc.

Anyway, the Honda stayed in the shed for ten years, as i could not bring myself to sell it.

Brought it out in 2005 and decided to give it a complete overhaul and rebuild it as a racer.

Wanted to keep a lot of the stock appearence and make it easily recognizable as a CB750.
Stretched a stock tank 6 inches to give it a endurance race look and made the seathump from sheetmetal.
Raask rearsets and clipons.
The stock pipes were badly rusted out so I cut them and took out everything that was rattling around.
Made some glasspacked baffles, shorted the pipes and welded them up.
Sandblasted and painted black.
Rebored the engine 1st o.d. (+0,25) and rebuilt it with new bearings and chains throughout.
Stock otherwise.
Frame powdercoated, aluminium polished in front of the TV every evening...
Rebuild the wheels with new spokes and D.I.D. rims from David Silver Spares.

Came out like this in 2006:







Bought my first house in 2007 and the Honda was put on hold while the house was restored. Took me 6 years to get the house done up and I finished it last year. Sold it immediately and moved on to a new one... Needed to build a garage because the new house didnt have one so last summer was spent building... again  :P

The garage should be finished this summer and this winter I hope I will find the time to give the Honda some improvements powerwise as the stock 55 rwhp is a bit unmatched by its look nowadays  ;) Got to love the powercurve though, straight as an arrow!
