Title: CB400f Breather pipes
Post by: Integra99 on December 05, 2017, 04:00:02 PM
Hi all, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this, I cannot for the life of me remember the breather pipe set up on my 400 so apologies if this is a stupid question but mine were all perished and fell apart.

Does the cam breather route to the airbox (via the 2nd inlet on the plastic chamber)? I'm assuming it should. I can see the airbox and chamber both have vertical breathers so these must exit straight out. However following the cam breather pipe... does this use the T piece and go to the airbox only (my T piece is blocked off) or should it us the T piece and connect to the airbox and also exit out?

I hope this makes sense, its just I'm making new breather pipes and want to cut it first time correctly!

The hose showing is the one that goes to the engine breather
[attachimg=1]
The bottom one in the picture is a drain and goes to air and the one on the plenum is a drain and goes to air

Many thanks, ok so that literally goes straight to the top cam breather cover! On my old pipes I have a blocked off T piece but maybe this was put in by the PO! to join two short pipes.

So in total 3 breathers, cam to airbox (plastic chamber) as in photo

And then the two drain pipes 1 for the airbox and one for the filter box.

Lovely thank you...
