Title: UK Cafe Racer Market
Post by: p@ul on November 25, 2012, 12:51:59 PM
Am i wrong or hasn't the Cafe Racer aftermarket parts business taken off in the UK yet ?. I'm looking for CB750 specific Cafe bits but i keep drawing a blank, even on eBay, yet its all happening in the US. I don't mind buying from the US but their postage costs are horrendous !!

Any thoughts ?

Hi
I've ended up buying all my cafe parts from the US (apart from my seat) because there is very little choice in the UK when you want parts,
I don't think the postage costs are too bad and its a hit or a miss whether you get stung for import taxes etc !!!
I wish there was more parts available in the UK but hey ho !!!!

Regards Stuart

Having worked in the trade i can tell you that there never was a real trade in cafe parts for Japanese bikes, in fact if one was offered in part ex we took off the cost of returning to standard from the value. Paul Dunstall made a living selling his parts to people who only insured third party as they couldn't affford comp and his stuff was way cheaper after an accident
