Pulled the rear wheel and right exhausts off the other week when the sun came out and ever since it's poured down with rain!
The sun made another rare appearance today, so rolled the TR6 out of the garage to make space and set about cleaning the K1's right side engine's nooks 'n' crannies and the swinging arm - happy with the results so far. I now just need a good few dry days to pull the left exhausts off and clean that side..........but that's some hope going by the 7-day forecast.

Thanks Pete, I'm very pleased with how it's coming on.

Very nice! Looks like new. 8)

That does look rather nice !!

Coming along nicely Andrew :D

Thanks folks, appreciate the encouragement.
Refitted the left set yesterday after cleaning up the nooks & crannies and spangling up the exhausts. Rain and hailstones stopped play today, but not before I got No4 exhaust fitted and made a start on cleaning up the rear wheel. Hopefully I'll finish that tomorrow.

It certainly is Andrew.....some good work going on there and highly therapeutic too !
The sweep of those gorgeous 4 into 4 chrome pipes is still a sight to behold some 50 years after they first burst onto the world.........much better than many a so called 'Work of Art' adorning the major Art Galleries around the world !
Soon be summer - and hopefully you'll be able to get out and about again on that beautiful bike.

Your garage is neat and tidy, the floor looks to be tiled, you own a TR6 and are getting on nicely with a very tidy K1. May I borrow your magic wand?

Alan - yes, the upsweep of the exhausts was pretty arty back when the CB750 was first launched and still looks good these days. Hopefully the 2nd July will be here soon and I'll be riding and driving again, can't wait! :)
Mr Sheen - thank you, but sorry, no magic wand I'm afraid just a lot of elbow grease and patience. No, tiled floor, yet....
Got the rear wheel cleaned up and refitted and exhausts permanently fitted back on these last few days. Wheeled the old girl out into the the sun for a few photos today, some before and after. Next jobs are new tyres, carb balancing and a MOT, even though it doesn't need one.

Great progress - how did you get the dents removed from pipe #3 (lower right)?

Thanks James, I'm very happy with how its coming on. I thought about getting it repaired soon after I bought the bike, but managed to find a very nice lower right HM300 replacement in the States after a year of searching so I went for that.
The dented one is now hanging from a garage joist.
