Took exhaust off my newly aquired F0 and it looks to be in good nick

I would find that quite acceptable. Look after it. ;)

It will be cleaned/covered in ACF50/wrapped in anti rust paper and bunged in the loft,don’t tell the wife lol. She moans about all the bike parts I have in there already.

That sure does look nice, get it wrapped and in the loft, god knows how many bike bits there are in lofts around the country though.

The silencers and collectors particularly, rot from the inside after being used.
You'll need to find some way of mitigation for them internally to make sure of best preservation.
Maybe something like two stroke oil sloshed around them to coat the structure.

It looks in amazing condition for 40+ years old. The clamp between the silencer and the collector box is mounted upside down, the bolts should be at the bottom.

That is just how mine looked when I got the bike and in 2 years and 11,000mls it had rotted through on the collector. So I had to do a repair to extend its life a little longer.

I know Honda and other marque exhausts rotted very quickly in the day,nicely repaired there.Delkevic arrives today,thinking I might like to do a mild cafe racer job on the bike and hang on to it.Still fancy a butt ugly K7 lol.
