I have just received a new lead from 4 into 1 purchased through Ebay.
Came through very quickly from US
Looks good and came out at £22 inc postage.

Was not sure if I would be hit with import charge but luckily not as I seem to recall there is a concession up to £15 ?
May be useful to anyone needing one .
I decided to go for a new repro loom from DS, so thought would be good to replace this bit as well.
I have also ordered the combined regulator rectifier from Amazon at c £15 to give a try.

I do have some old original units but at that price worth a try.

Should have had a word with Big Al on here. Uprated loom cabling and gave me free connectors that had melted on the loom it connects to. Ex British aerospace

Thanks Simon, I much prefer the dual (black & white) glass fibre insulation as fitted to the original CB750 alternator harness. Honda and Kawasaki (image attached) chose this specification due to the extreme heat/vibration around hot engine components.
Modern plastics & heat shrink insulation are good, but will dry out and crack when subjected to excessive heat/vibration.
