CB500/550 / Cb500 four carb re-build

Last night I've started dismantling the carbs, everything is out now, but I can't get them clean at all, I've soaked everything in cabs cleaner and then used a brush to help. But there is still rust or corrosion I don't know what's that stuck on the walls.

Any tips?

Hi all!

My name is Noelia I have recently acquire an honda cb500 four as a project USA import... I have had 2 vespas and 1 Lambretta when living in Spain (I'm Spanish) and use to do all the servicing my self, now I'm riding an Honda rs250 1981.

And this will be summer/winter project??!

For now the bike isn't running and my goal is to bring it back to life.

Here a few pictures of what I have so far and what I actually drive!

It would be nice if there someone in the surroundings of henfield/horsham/Brighton?
