CB500/550 / Re: Carbs!! Is it like this????« on: July 26, 2015, 10:06:17 AM »Hi Noelia, Hi Simon it does makes sense what you are saying I have noticed that the bottom line of the slide was shaped I will have a look as I must have rotated it or changed it. When assembling the last carb together I did notice something was not right when I have tried to put the slide into the carb body following the mark on the carb where it had to slide in. The arm where I need to fit in the throttle was reversed. So I had to unscrew the two small screws and rotate the slide 180 degrees. It may be it I have swapped a L&R. I hope it make sense and I'm not lost in translation! Thanks Noe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 112

Haha Ok ok I haven't put back the big spring and either I have put the locking nuts. Hi everyone I have been rebuilding my carbs, they have been vapor blasted and all needles and jets replaced.
I was placing them into the base and I realize that There is a gap between the bottom of the slide in three of them and one closed If they were all the same I would probably not think about it. What I have done wrong? Should there be a space or not? I have three with an space and one without. Please see the video below, hope someone can tell me. Thanks in advance Noe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 116

Last night I've started dismantling the carbs, everything is out now, but I can't get them clean at all, I've soaked everything in cabs cleaner and then used a brush to help. But there is still rust or corrosion I don't know what's that stuck on the walls.
Any tips? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
