Post by: ka-ja on November 25, 2014, 11:23:35 AM
Hi all,
This is for the 400/4 doer-uppers, if you haven't seen it already.

Thanks ka-ja,

I can now go and check that my paint man has done it correctly!

Cheers,

This is great, and just what we need on here.

I have edited the title of your post so that it can more easily be found by the search function - hope you don't mind!

Hi Ka-Ja,

Might be wrong, but the placement of the tank 'HONDA' logo just looks too far forward for the F2s?, ie I'm wondering whether this info is only applic to the 400Fs.

The attached tank photo of an OEM tank kindly supplied me by a (lucky) other member.

I'm having probs with the actual decals, specifically those supplied me by different ebay sellers. One set of side-panel decals is much bigger than the other... can any of you (original) equipment F2 owners measure the height of the lettering please?

And yup, I know the bloody decal on the left is too low.... it looks awful  (professional job) & I'm gonna have to repaint these two panels myself.

Hence the question on decal sizing... may as well get it right!

Cheers,
Simon

Hi Lobo,
The positions are for the 400f so the 400-f2 "pinlining" is not shown, as for the side panels, it looks as if the larger version matches the 400f side panels, perhaps another member can verify if the two models had different side panel logo's, as the tanks are obviously different-ie pin-lining.    Ken
