Peter OAP next April. Living in Bristol. Been riding bikes for 50 years. Did my apprenticeship at Fowlers of Bristol. Been retired for some years. Eleven Hondas.
2 360 G5s
2 250 G5
3 350 K3, K4
1 K7 750
1 K6 750
1 F1 750
1 KZ 750
All bar a 350 K4 have been dead for many years, now have 5 running again. Have just removed the K6 engine to fix an oil leak from barrel base. Had a barrel with much better pistons, however found it had thinner rings, assuming it's a K7. I have loads of assorted parts collected last 20 years.
I have a full engine gasket set, however am at a loss to find what 5 rubber rings, approx. 5/8 diameter are for. Have to refit exh valve springs and then head on. Have to replace carb rubber stubs, they are rock hard.

Welcome Peter(?)
You are a brave man with those G5s. My abiding memory of that model was a 250 and a 360 that my room-mate at Uni had - they ate top ends for breakfast.
Now the 350 was always the bike of my dreams (until I discovered the 500/4!)

I've no idea how we managed it but three of us managed to get a 250 G5 into the back of a Mark II Ford Escort estate once to move it from Highate to Hendon. The owner was in the tail with the bike holding the back door down. Resisted the temptation to take off smartish from the uphill-facing traffic lights near the tube station....

Welcome Peter. Nice little collection you have.

Hi Peter and welcome. The main things I remember about my G5 are that it handled great but was dog slow. I could just about get it up to 80mph in 5th but then change up to 6th and it would slow down to 70 on full throttle.
