Title: Dual brake lines 750
Post by: chips1953 on September 10, 2009, 07:50:04 PM: Does anybody know where I can get brake lines made up for a 750F (1975) with dual discs and low bars?
I've asked Goodride to make them and they are not happy as I want them to direct feed with flexible to the calipers.
I've asked SS in the states once before but, no reply.

I didn't buy a kit, just measured the inividual lines and ordered banjo's and bolts as necessary for the way I was running it. He distributes Venhill stuff, and it's really god quality.

Post by: matthewmosse on September 10, 2009, 09:23:58 PM: Custom Fastners in Newtown also make up brake lines in stainless braided with either stainless or normal fittings and can do the bolts etc you need. I normally go there and get them made up while I wait but they genrally do bussiness by mail order.

I've been on touch with SS on the forum, so hopefully we are on our way.
Got the bolts for the Dual Disc, but had to buy 50 off.
So have a few spares if anybody wants any in 6's.

Post by: Yoshi823 on November 19, 2009, 08:29:14 PM: Strange that Goodridge did not seem interested as they made up the lines for my dual disc setup on my 550 as well as for my 750F2.But in the days when stainless fittings were not available,I was supplied with cad plated...which I later regretted.Since then I have always advised people to buy stainless throughout.

On my 750F2 I specified two lines that went direct from the master cylinder to each caliper,bypassing the need for the splitter underneath the headlight.This meant only 7 copper washers,rather than the 11 that would normally be utilised.Less chance of a leak this way.With the advent of front brake light switches being on the master cylinder (on the 750F2) it does away with the need for the heavy and bulky hydraulic switch on the K and F1 variants.This is why a master cylinder from the F2 is ideal for anyone contemplating a doble disc upgrade on a K or F1 model.
