Title: Exhaust pipe
Post by: florence on April 18, 2022, 04:38:54 PM
Hello everybody.

Well. it's lasted a good few years but finally my old Laser pipe has rusted so badley there is now a hole.  Does anyone have a similar pipe lying around in their workshop that they would like to sell?  Also, I noticed Nurse Julie, you had a similar stainless version on one of your bikes.  Where did you get it from?

Excellent, many thanks everyone, being stainless should last a long time.  I shall place an order.

Hi, Roo. That photo is 6 months old.The bike is finished and running bar a seat, which I’ll be refurbishing the moment I can get to Lincolnshire.

Ta.looks even better now I’ve got the rechromed headlamp ears, grab rail and rear mudguard on. I’ll take some photos when I’ve got the seat sorted. The nice thing about this bike is that’s its all original apart from the bearings, seals, shells, chains, shocks, gaskets, paintwork, wheel rims, spokes, brakes, tyres, pistons, rings, front suspension seals….get the idea ;D ;D

The speedo drive is original, just not to that bike.

Getting a seat made for me very soon Phil, hand made custom job. Still unsure on whether to have the seat strap on it, never seen anyone use it or even heard of anyone using it, seems a waste for it to be on there and all it really does is potentially hole the cover, you need a hole for the screw to go through and the stud holding the strap to the buckle has been known to wear through the seat cover due to it being slightly too long.

What did you decide to go for, original type cover? I decided to have the Honda logo embroidered on the back instead of printed, that should piss off some people on here  ;D ;D ;D

I’m going completely standard, for aesthetic reasons only. I’ll be using Motorcycle Mayhem in Lincs, but not before some metal bashing and powder coating.
