Title: My CB750/4 K2. UK Model.
Post by: Nurse Julie on August 22, 2022, 07:24:13 PM
Seeing as everyone is showing off their 750's, I thought I'd show you mine  :) :) :)

I bought the bike almost 6 years ago and its been at the end of a very long queue of other work and build projects but, Graham has now finished the restoration and as usual, he has done an absolutely stunning job as always, with no help from me whatsoever ;D ;D ;D

I always had plans to ride the bike regularly after the build but being almost 6 years older than I was when I bought the bike, I am now a total muscular weakling. 750's are fine for me when riding but moving them around on the spot is now impossible and if I loose my footing when stationary, at traffic lights etc, there is no way on this earth I can now hold the bike up. I'm only 5'5'' on a tall day, so touching the ground safely on 750's has always been a bit of an issue that I chose not to worry about, now its not safe.

I will get round to selling the bike at some stage but I thought you would like to see some photos. This is the last bike I own personally that will be restored. I won't be buying any more. My 500/4 and 550/4 are are all restored and are regular riders for me and when eventually they get too heavy, I've got my CD250u  :) :) :) :)

Stunning bike! Lovely colour. Sorry have one else I think i would be smashing the piggy bank at this stage. Defo good bit higher than the 550 Julie can vouch for that. Great shame to have to sell. Nice job Trigger!

Yup, it’s beauty.

Now if Trig could just remove those pilot jets and check for spiders webs…..🤪

Absolutely stunning Julie. I've never ridden a stock CB750 only my Rickman CR750 and that's been in bits for at least 15 years! Are they a lot taller in the saddle compared to a 400/4?

Yes Dave,  the seat height is quite a bit higher than the 400 but the seat itself is also a lot wider. I could touch the ground with both feet flat on the ground on the 400 but I can barely tip toe on the 750.

Julie you’re done a good job restoring this bike they are taller than the 550 four I have the CB750 four K1 I find it ok but I,m 5’8” tall they do get heavy moving them around as you get older they get heavier I have the CB550 four KO 1974 as well it’s a lot lighter and not as tall as the 750 and handles better but the CB750 four is still the best looking bike when it came out in 1969 Triumph couldn’t compete with it as everyone wanted the CB750 four one of my favourite bikes is the Kawasaki Z1A-4 1976 but they are very heavy
