There are a couple that I have found, both with plastic bases, a metal would be preferred but would also be happy with a proven quality plastic.
The ones I’ve found so far are CMS and MonkyDax, does anyone have any experience of either?

I do have the original red foam seat but it’s not the most comfortable and this way I can preserve it as well.

I’ve been quite lucky and haven’t been selected for import tax on the last 6 or so items I’ve bought from Japan, States etc. keep yer fingers crossed. All of mine were in excess of £300 too so they could have had me proper. Bit of a lottery I’ve found…….

I was pretty sure PMC in Japan used to do a seat very similar to the Yamiya one but I can't find it on their site any more just the foam. JamesH may know.I did see that low seat when I was looking last night. I didn’t know what it was so decided to play safe and avoid it! I haven’t ordered yet but so far it’s looking like the obvious choice.

Anything from yamiya is taxed by UPS before it is delivered ;)
