Title: Tank stripe decal
Post by: Fourthegoodtimes on September 20, 2012, 08:42:43 PM
Hi, I am getting ready to have the tank and side panels resprayed this autumn. I thought I had seen the two stripe white tank side decals on David Silvers site, but now no sign of them. I emailed them and they said they cannot help with this :-[......so did I dream it? Anyway now have the problem of what to do. Any of the sages on here have any suggestions? :)

I was once pointed to this site: http://knkcycles.com/honda-cb500.htm

Haven't found one on this side of the pond though...

I bought a set from Dave Silver but wasn't impressed with them. I bought a pair recently from

 http://www.bike-stickers.com/homepage.htm

They don't list the stripes on their website but if you email or ring them they should be able to sort you out. Whichever you get they will need clear lacquering.

Thanks for all the advice :) I have ordered a set from Image Works, and very helpful they were too!!
In the course of my inquiries it appears that " Sunrise " have had a David Silver experience with Hondas legal team and are currently declining anything to do with big H graphics. :(

Last I heard they'd taken them off the website but you could still order them by phone.

That makes me curious. What does that exhaust modification sticker say? Can't remember having seen one.

It was on the US models and sez something to the effect of if you modify this exhaust all kinds of federal nasties will rain down on you.
It was on the swing arm and if you want i can take a picture of the one on my import and post it.

Hi, I've recently had all new decals on my CB550F2 and am really impressed with the results.
Think I paid £50 for the decals and that was fitted.  Try www.bike-stickers.com or give them a call on 0115 944 3111.

I did mine by hand with some white lining tape. Pretty easy really. I was going to do a template from the original but in the end I just did it off pics and following the lines of the tank. Tape was really cheap, Stripes applied before laquoring.
