CB750 / No Spark
« on: May 04, 2022, 12:49:56 PM »
Hmmm, my k6 is not running.
It blew a main fuse and broke down on a ride last week.
The original fuse box was a corroded mess and just fell apart which I (wrongly) assumed was why the fuse blew.
New genuine fuse box from DSS fitted but still no joy.
I have no spark at the plugs. I've got 12.6V at the fuses but only 10.8 at the coils?

Anything obvious i'm missing before I start pulling the loom apart?

CB750 / Carb Dust Boots
« on: March 24, 2022, 02:41:06 PM »
Hi All,

I bought 4 carb dust boots from DSS to replace my missing & split ones but I can't see how they go on.

Their made of really thin rubber that looks like it tears easily and the hole is way too small to fit over the carb end.
It looks like I have to dismantle the whole carb linkage and re-sync everything, correct?

Given how expensive they are I would rather not mess them up!

CB750 / Front Brake Shaft
« on: October 28, 2021, 02:30:53 PM »
Hi,
I'm trying to rectify a squeaky front brake on my K6.
Probably a stupid question but should the piviot shaft be able to move both ends?
The top bit with 2 holes moves fine but the bottom is locked solid?

New Member Introductions / Hello All
« on: October 08, 2021, 03:19:21 PM »
Hello,
New member here. Not new to bikes but I am to seventies Hondas. Going to look at some 750K5/K6 bikes this weekend.
My being realistic and at my price point its going to be an import and its going to be a weekend rider type of thing not a show bike.
Any obvious pitfalls for a newbie. I've asked a lot of questions of the owners and the replies seem positive.
There also seems to be a good spares scene for these bikes which is encouraging.
