Member 4 Sales / cb750 k0 seat
« on: May 25, 2022, 02:55:55 PM »
hi all having a clear out and thought i would post it here before goin on ebay.this is the seat that came of my 1970 cb750 k0  or just cb750 frame no 1037*** years ago.i'm saying this because there is a bone of contention on what came with the in between cb750 from sandcast to k1.anyway i think its original the foam is pink in the centre underneath and all pink on top but no ducktail unless the foam has flattened ha.original pan had it powder coated years ago with rest of parts, rubbers (one missing as you can see),original hinges, trim.i cant remember if the catch is original might have put it another ductail seat i sourced and used.i say this cos i bought quite a few spares for my bike and it looks like it has been fettled with a bit at the end.it has original strap which looks like i re chromed with the rest of bike.original strap screws (tatty)its got original aluminium rivety things for trim all there but only got 3 original starlock washers and one z1 original rectangle side panel badge washer(worth £500 on its own ha) just to hold it on so need another 7.the cover is repro that i bought for the other seat didnt like so i got one from yamiya.as you can see the logo on it is about 7mm out on the twonk to the top bead so i have just fitted to this seat.3 of the hinge screws are original the rest i got out of my little box of spares.sos for waffling but wanted to try and explain what you are buying someone might be able to confirm or not whether they did fit these to the k0 i don't know.pretty rare in this nick £150 plus post.p.s. Just realised dont think the spring belongs to the seat got it from my spares box must of got it with other spares i bought years ago.

« on: April 07, 2014, 10:16:35 PM »
hi all on my 1970 cb750 just bought new battery before connecting it checked to see if i was getting a drain connected positive terminal and put meter between earth on battery and earth lead off the bike not connected got 12v its a new wiring loom disconnected rectifier no volts so took the sleeving off the wires of rectifier must of got hot in the past and melted so seperated the wires connected it back up getting 12v again am i right in thinkin the rectifier is shortening between the red and green through the rectifier or travelling straight thru the diodes in it
any help would be appreciated

CB750 / carb synch
« on: January 23, 2014, 03:42:04 PM »
hi all nearly finished my resto of my cb750 1970 will post piccies when done been doin it for 2 years on and off an hour here and there got to keep everybody happy. anyway got engine runnin synched the carbs got good tickover at 900 rpm no black smoke but the plugs are black. does it need a run for a proper check its not quite finished to do that at mo. the air screws are out about 1 1/8 turns when its warmed up and i blip the throttle it hesitates so i thought it was the throttle cables which needed setting i did set them before i put airbox on and ran it. so according to manual open the throttle and read the gauges and adjust. on 1 and 4 carbs the vacuum dropped on the gauges dropped reading more vacuum as soon as i opened throttle. 2 and 3 carbs went slightly up on gauges but it seemed to rev a lot better than when  adjusted 1 and 4 to go slightly up on gauges the same as 2 and 3. it really hesitated cant get 2 and 3 to drop like 1 and 4 no adjustment left on carbs is the engine to hot or is there summat i,m missing the throttle cable is new 1 to 4 cable type any help would be appreciated.

i have just recently rebuilt my forks on my 750 k0 the bikes in bits so there goin to be off the bike for a while i took a photo of the assembly when i stripped them last year but when i come to rebuild them i noticed the damper valve which covers the holes next to the piston has a taper in the bore my photo didn't show this as it was assembled on the chrome stanchion . i fitted the valve damper with the taper facing the piston side does anyone know if this is correct or not.
