CB750 / Clocks
« on: June 06, 2012, 07:50:01 PM »
Been going through a load of F2 parts which I recently picked up and the clocks are mint thinking of fitting them to my Seeley which is all F1 running gear, Question, is there any difference barring the red line marking being 1000rpm apart ?
Also something I have never seen, the engine has come with caps over exhausts, inlets, flow and return, oil flow and return etc is this a kit you can buy they all seem purpose made of soft plastic for each opening.
Up to now have only removed rocker cover and all inside looks to be like new and very well oiled with what looks like new oil.Even the plugs are all new will check further but all looking very promising.

What I am asking [ and please all you purists read no further ] Has any body mono-shocked one if so what swinging arm was used and was it a success ?

CB750 / F2 Engine
« on: May 27, 2012, 10:31:03 PM »
Hi All, I have acquired a 750 F2 motor which I will use at some point, The thing is it has been sat in a dry garage for about a year,
I know it has only 19000 on it and has never been touched all original screws etc complete with carbs etc. Other than putting it in a frame to try it what would you do to check it over?

Other Bikes / Clutch
« on: April 14, 2012, 02:37:00 PM »
Hi to everybody, Having a weekend off from my 750 Honda, thought I would give my DR650 some TLC.  Had air leek on carb found using brake cleaner sorted that out runs sweet now. Problem I have is with clutch it has been dragging making 1st or 2nd to neutral very hard work, all adjustment was correct have pulled clutch out pressure plates wthin tollerance  although do look a bit shiney, driven plates seem flat, the basket forks seem to have slight ribs where plates have been sitting, does any body think this could be the problem and should I smooth them out I am sure this is what I have done in the past [ over 30 years ago ] excepting the fact things have moved on a bit since then. As I expect you know this is a wet clutch. Any help would be much apprieciated.

Nearly ready for MOT but cannot decide on what indicators to fit. Do they have to be fitted for MOT? Bike is registered 1978
I remember my old 1979 Briton had none as standard.
