Thanks lads for input I will give it a miss, wasn't phased by fit have a set of inlet rubbers still softish! would have had to fit a choke cable no biggy. You all know what its like if its there try it.   Never thought about F2 carbs and emissions good point it was in my mind if accelerator pumps would help but all points taken on board thanks, Don't want to create stress instead of fun.
Thanks again to all.

I wouldn't worry to much we all make mistakes the best way to learn I tend to use a linnesher to tidy things up cheap and not as aggressive as grinding discs Keep going you will sort it in the end and no problems in over doing it with gussets

Have cleaned a couple of tanks by putting in some washed fish tank gravel then wrapping with bubble wrap and any old blankets coats etc then putting in cement mixer making sure it won't move switch on and no effort req'd just reposition a couple of times empty and rinse out. Had very good results.

I would not use an impact driver if you want to torque them use a normal torque wrench with either correct bit in socket or bit holder I find 3/4"  drive handy on bikes.

Cheers Bryanj Have found the older I get the more I am riding but have to have a nice warm suit and gloves, Its her in doors who thinks i'm mad.
Jake I think you have started allot of nostalgia trips after the vid. best times out for me were 70's and 80's no money but go anyway he he.
Maybe there should be a nostalgia section I'm sure we all have good stories from the days with the boys.

Thanks for help, Bike sorted and running sweet will check balance as a matter of fact but sounds spot on.
Thanks for chart and yes Mick could have been me on Assembly the old brain not what it used to be. Have never put anything on threads have found things only seize when left a long time with fuel present.

One thing though always struggle refitting carbs to head took about an hour have never been shown so just fit best I can,
There must be an easier method ? How do you do it I would like to know? always willing to learn.
Cheers Tom...

Had a strange one today, The last time out on bike she started to run a bit rough so got around to having a look today.
Found the new inlet rubbers I bought about a year ago so thought I would fit them as old ones a tad hard, Removed carbs now for a full check and tune while there off, guess what removed float bowl on number 4 and main jet was inside bowl ? has anybody heard of one falling out before?

Will fit back to bike tomorrow set up and vacuum have a feeling she is going to run ok again.
Cheers Tom.

Quick question, Is the starting point for air screw on F1 1.5 turns.
