We had a CB250 Two Fifty a few years back. It was parked up in a chaps kitchen up in Scunthorpe and the wife had said either the bike goes or he goes 😂😂😂 Bought it from him and moved it on a few weeks later, lovely little bikes.

I'm not 100% certain being a USA colour but Freedom Green was used on 750's and not 500's, maybe the 550's though🤔🤔🤔🤔.

Are you sure you haven't got an unread message somewhere in your list? This has happened to me on the padt where it kept saying 'unread message' and indeed, I did have 1 unread message a page back.

No, originals are 3 pin, modern day replacements are 2 pin. Just leave the green earth wire unattached.

My concern is that its not yet road worthy so what should I do now having got it running
Absolutely nothing. Wait until it's road worthy.

I do wonder though if I should warm it up to get any condensation out?
Getting it warm will cause more condensation but a lot more importantly, unless you have a lot of cold air going around those fins, there is a very high risk the engine will seize.

That could easily cost up to £150, maybe more. All the fins need chopping out from the top downwards, so you can get to where you need to be, and you would also need a donor barrel to cut some donor parts out to weld in. Why do you need a replacent George.

Well done Dom. As Bryan says, get it on the road first and get some miles on her, don't leave her ticking over for very long at this stage to play with the carbs, it needs to go through lots of heat cycles with cool air getting around the fins to help the rings cut in. I bet you are well pleased and so you should be.

Sounds spot on. I'm sure everything will go to plan Dom, I bet you're excited, it'll be a great feeling for you when she fires up.

I was talking about the part number Ted 😂😂😂😂😂
But, theses are also NOS boxes from a different era, not all NOS parts come in red boxes.

Most important.... Take a front tappet cap off at each end and make sure you are getting oil splatters, put a white paper towel in front of the holes to see if you get oil spits. If no oil at top end, turn off engine straight away and investigate. Good luck, I'm sure it will be fine.

Yes Ted, but only for CB400 four piston / ring kits.
