Thanks for all the replies and links, the 4into1 site looks really good, quite fancy their deluxe tune up kit.

Just going to check out what shipping would be first though.

Thanks again

Just stocking up for next winters carb rebuild so long delivery not a problem.

Checked cruizinimages web site and its slightly cheaper but their checkout page is under maintenance at the moment and not able to place an order, will try again soon.

Cheers

CB350/400 / Carb kits on eBay

Been thinking of getting one of these kits and wondered if anyone on here had maybe used them and if there were any problems.

What is it? / Re: red spot on caliper
« on: May 01, 2017, 07:06:03 AM »
I wondered this too on my 400/4 I had the same thing, that was until I refurbished the calliper and painted over it.

But I did notice if you have original rubber hoses on your bike the ends of the hoses are colour coded and have either a red sleeve or a yellow sleeve at their opposite ends and I think it's just to identify which end of the hose connects to either the caliper or the splitter/brake light switch thingamybob.

At least that's my theory.

Thanks for the welcome   :)

Here's a couple of snaps of the bike, the photos flatter it somewhat there's a lot of rough edges I would like to tidy up before I'll be happy with it, but it's loking a lot better now than when I first got it.

The bike runs ok I haven't done anything to the engine other than an oil and filter change and clean the plugs. It's a bit flat when running and needs the carbs looked at, but plan for this year was just to use it as is, enjoy what good weather, if any, we get and look at all the mechanicals later in the year.

Cheers Alan

Hi everyone just a quick message to introduce myself, my names Alan and I live in Edinburgh.
Just coming up for my 60th birthday but never lost the biking bug, had a long lay off from them for many years but back into them again.
Currently got a 1977 400/4 in blue, got it at the end of last year as a runner but a bit tired, so spent most of the winter tidying it up and is now a presentable usable bike.
Won't rabbit on too long but hope to pick up some advice and help as I work my way through the renovation.

Cheers

Alan
