Hi chaps!! Oldboy from Hampshire here, new to this forum and 500/4 Honda's. Recently restored a pair of Suzuki Super Six's so I thought I'd give a Honda a go.  Exchanged a VFR 800 for a pretty looking K1 500. that had at some point had a lot of money thrown at it. Powder coating, new rims, new complete ex. system, front mudguard , indicators rubbers and nuts and bolts etc. When I got it home and started really looking into what I had, I realized all was not as it seemed. So virtually a complete strip down was needed to satisfy myself it was safe to ride!!  After a few month which included having the head off to lap the valves in due to lack of go/compression (a job that I was informed had been done!!)  it's now almost back on the road, apart from sorting the very hard front forks out. So it should be ready as it starts to snow.!!!!!! :-[

That's good to know. Just been going through the comparison site that somebody kindly put up and to my amazement most of the parts fitted are right for that model, which is a result!!

Sorry they were 100's. Would not surprise me if these are 550 carbs, the more I do on this "500" the more I find wrong!!

I've just removed 98's from my 500 carbs to fit 105's. If you drop me your address you can have them.

I'm not actually 100% sure what year/model it is. Registered in 1972. Was informed it had been put back to original spec, but whether that's K1 K2, import or UK I'm now not sure, but with all the info on this forum it's something else to investigate. Thanks for all the reply's so far I'm sure over the coming months there will be more question.
