Does anybody know a source for side panel grommets at a reasonable cost. DSS
wants £5 a pop for them!
I bought some cheap items of the net, but they are as hard as iron and I’m reluctant to push the panels in however we’ll they are greased up.

What are the chances of both ht secondaries simultaneously going open circuit. Primaries are might fine showing continuity and 4 ohms.
I’ve tried continuity between ht leads both with caps and plugs installed and bare, exposed innards. iv’e also tied the plugs together and flashed the live/contact beaker wires to a battery to generate a spark…. I get nowt.
Is this a common occurrence or am I missing something?
Any contributions gratefully received.

For complete clarity, the Vesrah gasket set is supplied minus the 6x cam cover ‘ pucks. Or have I misplaced them? The packaging is long gone.
Is there a more economical source than DS?

At last, making some headway with the engine. New bearings, shells, seals, primary chain, primary rubbers, cam chain and chain guides. Rods and crank turn freely and gears engage perfectly. Next engine in frame, head rebuild and a bit on minor porting: mainly cleaning up the casting marks and manifold matching.

Help please. Almost completed the DD conversion, however have encountered a slight problem. I elected to use the asymmetrical set up, but of course I now need a longer caliper arm spring and adjuster screw. I can preload the spring using washers or a short spacer, but the screw will be too short. Iv’e not noticed mention of this in the articles I’ve read. Is a ready made alternative available,or,do I get one made?

Apologies in advance. Just for my reassurance the cases are marked CCCC and all webs marked A1. I presume there’re that I need all brown shells? Crank is measured at very minimal wear, so I intend to simply replace the shells as I’m no judge of what is visually acceptable in terms of wear indication Or do I do as stated in the manual and disregard the case and crank markings. I’m sure I have read elsewhere on this site that the case and web markings can be used reliably…just asking.

Help needed please. I’ve seen lots written on this topic, but would appreciate some advice on an economic source for primary chain, primary rubbers and cam chain.
Would also appreciate some advice on the can chain tensioner blade. I can’t make out if the blade should have chain run witness marks or if as new it should be flat.
