CB500/550 / Re: Just found some old pics

Don't see any Ladas around any more.  They were often used as taxis 'round here.  I always refused to get on one, insisting on a 'proper car'.

Great photos, I should take more than I do.
I think that would have been a Fiat back then.
There's a Wartburg in the second pic. :)

Been trying to get the tank matched for 6 years. It's either they can't do it or I can't afford their prices. Lot's of hassle trying to get paint in NI.

Was sorta guesstimating around 1500 so I'm not too far away. Thanks for the input.

Ok, without any recent pictures available.
It's a fully functional 550F2 without any mechanical problems. New front rim/spokes, chainguard, indicators, seat, grab rail, side panels, cam chain slippers etc., front guard, good 2nd hand rear guard from US, decals, taper steering bearings, frame, hagon shocks, fork tubes, Motad and some other stuff I just can't remember at this late hour.

Selling my 550 I've had since 86. Can't keep it as I have nowhere to keep it safe and rust free. Some beestards tried to steal it a few nights ago.
So I'm looking for a ballpark figure to work around.
I'd appreciate your input chaps.

Long time since I engineered in a real shop but a disc can be mounted on any type of grinder. I did a variety of pieces in my youth. :)

Watch when you put the casing back on. My switch earthed against it on the odd occasion. Took me ages finding the problem.

Of course it's about the money. Look at that farce a few years ago when you got £1k to trade in your old car for new. I'm sure that wasn't very green.

What happened to all the tyres you removed?
