Bastards... Cut their hands!

Registration number??? VIN number, in case it gets offered for sale with a different reg number? I hope they die slowly and very painfully! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
-
Ah that is just f*ing horrible - all of our worst nightmares.
Sorry for your loss - if I see anything will get in touch.
Worth sharing the frame/engine numbers on here in case anyone sees any parts listed that we suspect is from the bike?
James
-
Will share on the Lincolnshire Bikers FB page as your not far from here. Also shared with Willingham Woods Bikers FB
-
Has to be someone after f1 parts or going to export it must have been specifically targeted
Keep eye on eBay gum tree etc saying that even if you see parts of it for sale neither police or eBay take much action
But there is rough justice which should be used if people are found
Hope things work out ok

Thanks so much for your support everyone ... it helps ease the pain & letting the tears flow!
Hadn't put rego details down because its "sensitive" info, but seeing as its already stolen ...:
Reg.No. xxxxxx
Frame no. CB750F-xxxxxxxx
Egine no. CB750-E-xxxxxxx
Hope that helps!
Thanks - John.
PS Above should have read tears not teats! Now corrected (the joys of using a mobile!!!)
-
What a bummer ...as James said ..everyone's nightmare.
I go to Newark autojumble most months in the summer so I will keep my eyes peeled (next one is Sunday 23rd Sept.) as it's close to your location and an obvious place for offloading parts without questions being asked.
-
Cheers!
-
You're not the first person to say that (including my very mild natured wife!) :) :) :)
Bastards... Cut their hands!

Thanks SteveD CB500K0 for moving this to correct place. When I first posted wasn't feeling very with it & feeling stressed!
-
Sorry to hear about your bad luck, as already been said "everyones nightmare". An insurance payout can't compensate you for any hours of work you may have put into the bike, i've had two stolen so i know the deflation your feeling at this moment.
If i may ask, what sort of anti theft measures did you have on your bike while in the garage overnight ?
-
Heavy chain lock ... & standard yoke lock...
They had to bend the bottom half of garage door up to get to release latch ... door now has 90 deg bend in it!
-
Maybe I should have fitted a tracker???
-
Determined b*stereds wern't they! cutting off their hands would be too good for them, i'd include their reproductive bits as well. >:(
-
Words fail me as the scrotes must be bikers to particularly target it
-
Hmmm ... yes I'm struggling with exactly that!
-

Thanks ... really appreciate that!
-
I'll keep an eye out at the south jumbles, can't imagine what it is like Sorry mate
-
Really sorry to hear about the loss of your bike - with that amount of security, it could happen to any of us. Bloody Scrotes!
-
Sorry to hear the bad news, not much to add to what others have already said. I'll keep my eyes open at the Kempton park jumbles. They must have been watching you at some point.
The best advice I was given by the police was never to wash your bike outside the front of your own house. Bike thieves are well organised and travel around by car on sunny days and Sundays knowing bikes will be parked outside houses. When they see a bike being washed outside a house they know that's were it lives and come back later to steal it.
Another ruse thieves use is to drive to bike meets, shows and jumbles, pick out a bike they like, wait for the owner to return to the bike and then follow the unsuspecting owner home and come back later to steal it. It happened to a guy who rode his BSA RGS to Kempton Park a few years ago.
I hope you get it back, SOHC 750's are not the type of bike you see being ridden every day.
-
Thanks once again for all your words & comisseration(?).
I have sourced anew project if the yellow peril doesnt turn up, but sadly its a CB900FD rather than a 750 sohc ... anyone know a decent forum for those bikes? My aim will be to get it as good condition as my F1 was...
-
The bike Im looking at is basically blue colour. 1983. Updated comstars with lets say hole pattern in pressings rather than earlier slot type pattern (if that makes sense?)
-
Sorry to hear about the theft - seems nothing is safe.
CB900fd is a lovely bike - got one in the shed waiting to be done.

Thanks Andy ... that helps pick me up ... something to look forward to ... early days yet ... I dont have lots of money so need to wait till insurance is sorted ... you never know bike may turn up ... but still feel violated ... maybe if that does happen perhaps I should hand it over to someone else who can look after it better. Maybe the 900 being that bit newer will be less sought after???

I hope you get your bike back , and the thieves get what's coming to them, cheers Mick.

The rotten thieving bastards, makes your blood boil. They stole my work van and all the tools last Christmas so I know how crap you must be feeling. Hope you get it back.

Good news! I have bike back with minimal damage .... one thing they have done to break ignition lock is to bend instrument dial mounting lugs on top tripple clamp. Dont fancy trying to bend them back ... does anyone know if part ending in 305 is interchangeable with part ending in 010? No doubt more questions to come! :)
-
Great news that you got it back! Did they get caught?

No ... they were disturbed while trying to steal another bike & ran off...
-
Great news. How was your bike found?
-
That's really great news, now all that needs to happen is for the *******s to be caught and strung up.
Cheers
Dennis

Great news
-
Very pleased for you and glad damage minimal.
-
I have a couple of the gauge mounting brackets. I know they are CB750 ones but which ones I know not!
If you post an image I can check. Must have taken some effort to bend those lugs.
-
Good news. Hopefully the scumbags ran off into the path of an express train!
-
Great news, but how. There must be a story behind it.
-
Police were doing their rounds about 12:30 (midnite), saw these lads next to my bike & part way through nicking another bike and ran off before police could pursue ... they made sure they secured bike then got recovery to pick it up ... all the people I dealt with thought the theives were stupid & didn't know what they had! Slowly pulling bits off ... got to the bottom of their hot wire & busted seat ... more later ...I'm getting hassled to have lunch!!!
-
The gauge bracket is fine but the top yoke I think was bent when they butchered the ignition lock... the gauges now interfere with end of brake master cylinder line. Thanks for the kind thoughts anyway...

The end number is either manufacturer or different country mate
-
Does anyone know if there any difference between the top yolks on the F1 and F2.
-
Arnt F2 forks bigger diameter?
-
It would seem they are the same diameter at 35mm.
-
They are different. Choke cable mounting. :)
-
Great news glad you've got it back :)
-
Brilliant news. Glad she’s safely back with you...
-
Really great news!
-
On further investigation the VIN plate on the neck of the frame has been removed ... any ideas how I can replace this? Does it need to be there? If it isnt, does that make my bike illegal and non roadworthy (or whatever)?
-
Not a legal requirement if the frame number can be read (Powder coating a frame can make it very difficult to read) I have seen replica/replacement ones for sale, but can't remember off the top of my head where, although Germany springs to mind.
-
Try www.vin-plate.co.uk they have Honda ones.

Great news 8)

They are different. Choke cable mounting. :)
While noseying at the different variations ... I think with the choke mounting the clamping points for the handlebar are somewhat higher??
