I've had an annoying oil leak from top of cylinders, so I started by checking the cylinder head nut torques. Most were not to correct torque so carefully tightened and got them all to torque up. Hopefully this was reason for the leak.
I've come to put the rocker cover back on complete with new rubber gasket.
How do I hold the gasket in place whilst fitting the rocker cover? I've seen red rubber grease mentioned on here. Will that do the trick??
Many thanks
H

I saw some people had issues with this, but I fitted mine last week and it stayed in the groove just fine. Could be because it was completely dry maybe?

Yes, red rubber grease or as sprocket says, some stay no problem at all without anything.

Great thanks. I'll give it a go. Cheers. Harold.

Top tip on the red rubber grease. Rubber gasket staying in place now.
The bolts for the rocker cover are a mixture of all sorts, and thread on one is suspect.
Planning to get a set of new. Can anyone recommend a supplier? I see Nurse Julie got a full set from Yamiya but I only need the rocker cover bolts. Cheers H

You can buy the bolts individually from Yamiya as well as the complete kits. It doesn't work out a bad price really, even taking post / duties etc in to account. Maybe worth a thought.
