The guy who built this posted it on the Japanese Vintage Bike Club FB page this morning, he hasn't started it yet but i would like to hear it when he does.

Yeah, I'm following it. I'll believe it when I hear it run.
-
Wheres the carbs?
-
Wheres the carbs?
like any V, between the cylinders ;D

Micro carbs then

It would need to be FI.

Or one carb with a 8 bank manifold ;D ;D

Is that one of Alan Millyard's creations? Regarding the carbs, there's barely enough room to wedge 4 carbs in as it is so perhaps it's fuel injected.
-
Awesome. One issue as a daily rider though, the carb(s) or injection kit are doubtless in the tank spacd so the fuel capacity is probably much reduced, and economy worse - I wonder what economy it gets? Still looks well engineered and very clever or very good photoshop.

The builder is called Dominic Labelle.
-
And the extra coils jammed in there somewhere as well.
-
Must have hollowed the tank out to take the necessary, probably down to about 1 gallon. Either that or its a really good Photoshop job?
-
I hope its a practical build,
and not a photoshop,

see these links, the Kwacka I have seen on a tv show, and it looks and runs well, the Honda just looks bulky

If it is photoshop he has spent a lot of time at his computer as there are a few photos.

What about these two babies then.

What about these two babies then.
I appreciate the engineering but not my type of bike.

Great for filtering through traffic.

Would be better off in traffic with this.

I'd like to buy a chain for my Pugeot please.
What clever dick decided white tyres was a good idea?
-
I wonder if air cooling is sufficient for this little CB 800 F V8.
-
I'm no engineer, but am just left wondering, "what's the point" of the V8s. I say this because (eg) the 400F frame, clutch, gearbox, wheels, gearbox.... EVERYTHING is bloody designed / stressed for 37BHP / 170Kg & not double that....
So, within a mile or two I guess the clutch will burn out, the rear cylinders overheat, and the frame crack. (sure he'll have beefed up a few extra bits, but I bet a lot of it not)
Hmm...
Nonetheless, Very, very impressive engineering.

I would have put an extra disc on the front as well
-
Guess the brakes are waiting to be done ::)
-
I guess the point is...because he could and fancied the challenge. I imagine it has a bespoke crank and uprated internals but who knows...still a superb bit of engineering. Would love to hear it running....
-
The rear bank might have some cooling issues!
-
I am guessing, but most of these wonderful projects are to prove they can be done,
I would guess if it was ridden at around 50 ish,it wouldn't get to hot,
and the frame, transmission and brakes would cope perfectly well,
just think of the smile it would produce ,
PS,back around 1970,I thought of fitting two Yamaha YAS1 motors together,a twin crank V4 250 cc
my skill was way below my intention

Doesn't sound great but I really like that some people have the ambition to take on something like that, I love Allen Millyard's creations and I especially like this RD600 triple engineered by Harry Hawkins.

-
Wow, I wonder what the power band is like on that. I had an RD400 and hitting 6k was like feeding in a turbo!
D.
-
Sounds good, except for tickover rattle but as people seem to think the single disc is not up yp a standard 400 not sure about stopping!
-
Superb :).
-
what fun! I think I would have routed the second set of exhaust pipes out the other side.
Also, I would have started with two 750's because if you are going to be that silly you may as well be extremely silly.
-
Back in the 70's some guy just stuck two CB750 motors in a frame one behind the other and went drag racing!
cool, as they used to say............
