I have decided not to have an ignition switch on my CR replica, I have an isolator switch near the battery to kill the electrics, here is a picture of the plug that goes into the original ignition switch, please could someone tell me which wires I should connect together so that the ignition is always on, electrics aren't my strong point!

Just ignition, no lights Red to Black

Red is +12V
Black is switched +12V
So connect the red to the black and you're away.

I should have explained myself better , I am fitting lights (and indicators), using the original loom and handlebar switchgear, the front light will be a small white fog mounted inside the perspex screen, just to give a white light at the front for safety on the road (micro indicators also fitted inside the screen) and the rear will be mounted to the numberplate again with micro indicators.
So what I need to achieve is a wiring configuration at the ignition switch connector that mimics the key being turned to the on position and left in that position permanently (the electrics are killed by the isolator switch I have fitted near the battery), please could you tell me how to wire it so that the above is achieved, cheers Mark.

Hi Mark,
As Bryan & Steve say... but for the lights separately connect the Brown to Brown /White stripe..... as shown in the "Position 1" illustration.
Can't quite find a diagram to match your "5th" wire (brown / yellow) ... but if the above leaves you with instrument illuminations etc... but no head lamp... then also connect the B/Y directly to the B/W as well.
Ie... all 3 Browns together, and (separately) Black to Red

Cheers Bryan, my current plan for the MOT is to take the fairing off and fit the original headlamp and horn, quiet exhaust etc, the rear light will have a brake light (don't fancy riding without one), then once it's MOT'd I'll refit the fairing etc, probably snapping rather than bending quite a few rules here!.
I will be declaring all the mods to the insurance company though so may have a re-think on the headlamp etc, i.e. if I can get it through an MOT using the same bits that I intend to permanently use then all the better,cheers Mark.

You could get away with two small lights, one for dip both for main and a small rear light with brakelight is easy but dont forget the BS red reflector as well. The horn has to audible over the engine which is why they say electric. Somewhere on here is a link to the official VOSA testing manual
