CB750 / Re: K1 Rear Mudguard on a K2

I had the same conundrum when I mistakenly bought a used mudguard to find they sent me the early type. I didn't try and fit it but the mounting points looked to be the same. The issue is the rear light mounting is different so you would need the earlier light bracket as well.

CB750 / CB750 K5
« on: August 27, 2015, 09:55:19 AM »
Hi All
I've just acquired a nice K5 which seems pretty original. The issue I have is with the seat catch / lock. The bit on the seat is there OK but the bracket and the lock itself are missing. Now it seems repro locks are available from DS but no one is listing the bracket part number 50223341000  I believe and item number 1 on the attached picture. Don't suppose anyone knows where I can source one from.

I can recommend the Dart flyscreens. I've had one on my Bonneville for about 4 years and it really makes a difference despite the size. They fit really easily just on the headlight retaining bolts.

If 500's are allowed as well I could be up for that.

Hi Ian

When are the stainless silencers that fit onto the stock Honda downpipes and collector likely to be available. I've got excellent downpipes and collector but a rather sad silencer.

I've used the Triple QX 10w40 semi synthetic on a couple of bikes with no clutch issues whatsoever  - they deliver free as well

CB750 / Seat refurbishment
« on: February 04, 2015, 03:12:16 PM »
I've got a K2 that has had the seat recovered in the past with a non standard cover and it looks very wrong! The base is very solid with just  a minor amount of surface rust so the seat looks ripe for refurbishment. The problem is there seems to be plenty of covers available out there but has anyone here actually fitted one they are happy with. Do they all have the Honda name on the rear.

Hi Phil

Like you I have just received my nice shiny new pipes from CMS and was considering exactly the same about trying to protect the inside. Thought I would try the Eastwood Hi-Temp internal exhaust coating available from Frost. http://www.frost.co.uk/eastwood-hi-temp-internal-exhaust-coating-with-extension-tube.html

I'll let you all know how I get on.
