Over to you on frame number Jock. From what I remember of the Ebay listing it was later in 1970 ish.
My advice would be to strip down to the bare frame, have it blasted and see what the corrosion damage is. And throw NOTHING away!!!
It looks pretty much standard to me? Does it have a 'wrinkle' tank? Mine is Oct '69 and does not although I am sure it is the tank it came to the UK with in Jan 70 and had the Alloy filler cap and early badges.
Guess you are going to need new shocks!! - Just got mine (Honda K0/K1 version) from Silvers for 250 quid. Ouch!!

Hi, Jock has PM'd me asking to get his new K0 project on the website. It also looks like it has the Sandcast Oil filter housing which was a recall issue. Yes the shocks were wrong too - Just bought mine from Dave Silver - my Christmas present to Myself

Bob - I am in contact with two guys with immaculate K0 and Sandcasts in the UK. One guy has a red and blue Sandcast and used Andrew Parnaby for paint (he put me onto him). The other guy in Cumbria has a blue K0 and he used Dream Machine. I can give them your details if you like to ask them of their experiences. I know that Andrew paints on the stripes (as they were done by Honda I am led to believe) and Dream Machine use stickers.
Steve - where did Eamon get his paintwork done for the Blue K0?

Thought of repairing cut guard but its way down my list and probably beyond saving . Last year the non cut version cost me 79GBP from DSS now it is 175GBP. He had to go through 12 brand new boxed ones to get a decent one for me!! see http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=51892.0 The 'double cut one' is around 600-700GBP from Japan!! I have thought of cutting sections from two non K0 fenders and welding under the braces: see http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=51407.0BTW Bob - I had every single part of my K0 that is black, powder coated by a guy in Castleford for 130GBp inc blasting and prep. NICE one Steve -I didn't know how to upload photos either!! the 750 is 'as found' last year 1500 quid (note the k2 seat and 341 style exhaust/shocks - I sold these on Ebay as there were not correct). The 400/4 was restored in 1986!! Bob - did you PM me? If so I don't think I received it !

OK Guys just say if I am becoming a bore!!Tried to track down the K0 chrome tank trim without the black stripe, other than pay the high price from Yamiya. A UK Sancast guru told me he used Mini trim and when I did a bit of detective work on the 10k GBP K0 that was on Ebay recently, lo and behold, the sellers history revealed that he too had recently bought some chrome mini trim. Forgot to save the Ebay detail though. Great response- thanks folks - maybe we are more adventurous than our US buddies! Probably due to them getting engine parts dirt cheap there secondhand. I have already researched it a bit and I think the parts will fit so long as you use the entire K7 clutch assembly. Having never had a CB750 before I don't know what the gearshifting is like, and how it improved over the lifespan of the SOHC's (I had 4 400/4's and a Z650). I will definitely keep the K0 parts though-just in case I ever need to part with it to a 'purist'. Do you ahve any links to that bulletin board article please Steff? I think my head is a proper K0 as it only has the single 6 mm bolt. Has anyone tried K1 barrels on a K0? - I got some 20k miles barrels and pistons fitted with new rings for my bike. Or do I swap the liners over?

Hi everyone,
I tried to get a reply to this one on the US site but surprisingly no response.
My 750 K0 was purchased with 40 odd K miles on the clock and had not been used for about 17 years so I never heard the engine running. I have a heap of new or low miles parts for it including crank, barrels and pistons and new genuine chains etc. The original top end I am sure has been replaced as it is in very good condition and there are seals on both inlet and exhaust valve guides.
Here is the question - I have quite a few parts from a K7 and F1 engine and these include complete clutch (with the double 'B' plate), shifter forks and shift drum. Since these parts were upgraded on the later bikes (as detailed in Honda Service Bulletins for better transmission shifting etc.), is it worth me using them instead of the original K0 parts? Obviously I would retain the originals for historical reasons. Also are there any other 'upgraded' parts I should look at using from the later engine?

John Wyatt does not paint BTW it is his next door neighbour Andrew Parnaby at Marston Moor Ind est (who doid mine) who does his painting. Evidently Andrew ended painting the Candy Gold in the resto project in Classic Mechanics a few years ago, as the guy originally asked to do it could not get it right
