Just a quick hello from me,
I have just got hold of a 1978 400/4 and started stripping down for restoration. Loving the info and wealth of knowledge that is available from the forum.
Cheers all.

I’m just outside lincoln Nurse Julie, my normal biking routes take me over your way all the time, so once the CB is done hopefully you’ll see me knocking about.
Bike is a half decent example for a 40 year old machine. Hadn’t been run much for the last year or 2, but a bit of work had it firing from cold after 3-4 kicks. Wanted to get it running before tearing the bike apart just to Know that the engine was ok. Did a comrpession test too. Think it had a half effort of restoration in the past but lots of rattle paint over corrosion, plus a few wiring loom disasters!!

Great, you must pop in for a cuppa some time. I'm thinking of starting up a Cuppa and Buttie shop for all the SOHC Members (and SOHC riders but non forum members!!),that stop off here to see Trigger and myself whilst on their travels. Most visitors live local to us in Lincolnshire but some are from a lot farther afield and it's great to see them all.

Welcome Roger - enjoy the forum - the 400Four's are taking over!

Welcome to the 400four forum Roger, I'm sure you'll find lots of useful info on here, along with lots of larking about. I'd love to see some photos when you get around to it, saves me forking out for bike magazines.
