Nope, they are the energizing circuit, one goes to earth the other gets power when the starter button is pushed on yours ( opposie on 500).
I suspect the small red wire to loom had a bad connection OR moving all the stuff about made a better(temporarily) connection in fuse box

There is a difference between car and bike cutoff, bikes can go straight up and down cars must go to kerb

Flake sunrise is one of the 3 pack candy colours which mostly come in nasty type paints needing air fed masks

Do you need the stator or rotor.
Rotors i have a couple of nos, stators ask Trigger if he has any contacts left, they have been gone for a few years now

1 rpm per 2 signals should be correct i think

Our heating is set at 17 c and trips in ocasionally but the stat is right by the front door. The bedroom on the third floor of a middle semi needs aircon, was up to 27 c 10 days ago!

There are a lot of interesting bikes in the auction BUT Pugh has a record of not being a cheap sale for anything

A "standard"  electronic tacho will count 4 lt pulses for 1 crank revolotion, the honda coil will pulse twice for one crank revolution so readings may well be wrong, also with the dyna there is a different amount of "dwell" or coil charging time which may afect the tacho operation, i cant comment on that as i understand electrical dohickies but not elctronical ones

Aftermarket tachos on cars used to connect to points side of coil

It used to be part of a Suzuki service schedule to swop the plugs 1 to 4 and 2 to 3 to even out the spark erosion wear
