Post by: RGP750 on November 30, 2015, 03:48:15 PM
I have a total refurb kit from cb750faces for k0 clocks
Question ,what to use to fix jewels in and clear face to black housing.
Anyone any experience?

Lecram (Marcel) recommends a particular type of German glue  .. I will check. I think it would be better if he sold them pre-bonded as I am sh*t scared of doing it and messing up expensive ( but top notch) parts. Need to do mine still. Also one of my damper pots needs refilling with silicone oil.

I know Pete has glued his set he bought.

Thanks Ash, I have emailed him but no answer.
I'm nervous of cocking it up as well.
I'm thinking of silicon for the jewels but the lens is more
tricky as it needs to be weather sealed as well as fixed in.

I use evo stick impact for the jewels. Your clocks should have a seal.

i used a clear plastic two part glue, for the jewels, the outer case to base plate i am going to use clear silicon, the lenses on his kits now come fixed i thought, i know his earlier ones you had to glue yourself which i also did with clear silicon

Pretty sure this is what Lecram recommends
