Oh yeah forgot about the boat fletcher arrowflight with 55hp 2 stroke 900cc? That is mental when it fires up. Still my mk2 golf gti loves me still. Anyways joined plenty of fish to open a new chapter at 52yo.

Well waved goodbye to him on the courier van 6am this morning  :'(
He had to take a run up to get him up
the van ramp. Then I saw him pick the back up and move it sideways  :o

Hi guys not been on in a while. Unfortunately I am forced to sell my pride and joys due to the wife saying she wants some space. Unfortunately irreconcilable now. Currently living in mum and dad's conservatory in Heald Green. Anyways my xt600 dt175mx and cb750 k8 are all planted on ebay at the moment as I don't have the room. Am OK. Gutted  to list them but need to downsize. Many thanks for all your help.  A guy called Tell will be along shortly with questions as he's bought my K8 off ebay and is a nice chap and have recommended he joins this forum. He likes his honda XL's XJ's BTW. Regards Simon

Are your k8 exhausts 4into4? Mine are 4 into 2 trombone shape I think but the chrome has peeled off the rhs exhaust for some reason. Not rotten though

Missus at work so went into manshed. k8 not been fired for a couple of months as I was concentrating on my 1980s golf gti 87 XT600 and 78 dt175mx. Fuel tap on.,choke pulled and fired into life immediately 6 mins to settle down idling on warmup. You can't make a more harmonious noise of 4 cylinders working in unison. I believe the 22000 miles is real now. No crazing on clocks spoke nipples still zinc coated. OK its no k0 but cheap classic motorcycycling. I now smell of piston crown carbon. Just saying I like it

My tank spent 2wks with a hydrochloric acid blend in it a a vintage radiator repair shop in denton next to an ancient harleys tank having the same treatment. It worked but the guy must be 70-80yrs old. He did a 1959 tank for me about 30yrs ago with 50 holes in it. Brazed every one. If he retires it will be a sad loss

I got my title returned back to me when I registered my US K8 last year? Didn't need a vjmc cert either.

Thanks for the tip. Will try the solvent weld. I'm sure I greased them when I put him in hibernation 🤔
