Title: not more stripped thread
Post by: billdn on June 03, 2018, 03:34:37 PM
While fitting new carb balancing screws, well that's what I think they are, 1 of the little beggars is just spinning and not tightening. Thread is good on screw , described as 5 x 6mm pan screw. I'm tempted to blank it off but would negate balancing carbs or that one later! Any ideas I'm thinking another helicoil required 😒 Photos attached to show location.

I had 2 of them go on my carbs, little blighters. Trig sorted it but I think if you're doing it with the carbs on the bike, swarf getting in is the biggest problem.
Just seen yours are off the bike, so forget that last comment  ;D
