Title: 750K2 getting ready for registration
Post by: petermigreen on July 21, 2018, 07:17:53 PM
Took my new baby out to get MOT'd in preparation for getting a registration this morning.

Naturally took the long route to the MOT bay  ;D.

Can't get over how nice it is to ride and looking forward to getting registered and riding.

Peter

Oooooh, how exciting Peter. This Summer is going to last forever so you will get plenty of riding done.

Hopefully my UK CB750 K2 will get to the top of the restoration list in our house this winter......hopefully. It didn't  need restoring, it ran beautifully and looked fine to me but I have noticed parts being pinched off it recently for other projects we have going on !!!. So, a full resto is on the cards I think. Maybe our bikes could meet each other at Crich next year 😀😀😀

Little bonus tonight.
I knew the handbook was under the seat but hadn't looked at it until tonight and flicking through found this:

Quite reassuring to know it's had regular maintenance  :)
Only trouble is it's now got 13k miles on the clock  :o

Lovely to find that Peter. I see what you mean about the mileage......it's obviously been round the clock  ;D ;D ;D

I still have 30000 miles worth of hand written service/parts history for my ZIB I got rid of in 78. Its still registered and contacted Z1 owners club to see if I could trace the present owner - but no joy

Cool. Good to have it as part of a bike's history.
Of course I photocopy any US titles but not the same.

That great Peter. DVLA are being quite quick at the moment, as long as you send everything they need first time round !!!!. Happy riding.

My licence and title came back a week later after my v5. Is everyone's bike manufactured on new years day?

I had to look twice at that registration as its so close to mine.  :o
Strange when mine is supposed to be a 71

Mine says 1/1/72 cos that’s what I put on the application. Don’t know why (panicked). I presumed dvla would correct. Should’ve put 1/7/72 as vin plate says 7/72. Oh well not bothered now I’m registered and riding!

I know how off V5's can be. I once sold a bike to my sister that confused them somewhat.
We lived at the same address, have the same initials and a very similar signature. The logbook came back as Ms Michael  ???

I reckon that's just your alta ego when you go out in your dress Mick ;D ;D ;D

Anyway we went out tonight and I nearly lost Ethan off the back when I accelerated a bit hard off a set of traffic lights, he was only saved by the massive K2 rear light :o ;D :-[.

Think he might hold on a bit tighter next time. I think he had a little heart attack ;D

Bless him, baptism of fire on the K2.
Thing is I felt really guilty but thought better not let him know. He needs to learn to hold on at all times.
Whoops :-[

You could always fit a Sissy bar with a 3 point harness, just in case  :)

Nothing wrong with wearing a dress its great in this weather
Maybe a sissy bar and bungee cords are a good idea.
Dam went for a pee and Julie beat me to it.

You should know by now. Never let us children play on our own. We always get ourselves into trouble.

😀😀😀😀😀😀 I have  a picture in my mind of Mick sitting on the loo, wearing a dress, painting his toe nails and then going out mixing wall paper paste in to his engine oil......
